FAQ

Quick answers to common questions about Scribe Animator.

Is Scribe Animator browser-based?

Yes. Scribe Animator runs in your browser—no software download needed. Most editing and previewing happens locally on your device, so it feels fast and private. Read the product overview for the complete workflow and current boundaries.

Are exports unlimited?

Yes—exports are not capped by default because the export engine runs in your browser. To keep the platform stable for everyone, we may apply fair-use limits for abusive automation or unusually heavy usage. The export guide explains formats, quality, and validation.

Is sign-up required?

Sign-up is not required to try the editor and test exports. Sign-up is required if you want to save projects, sync assets to the cloud, or use paid features.

Which browser and operating system does it support?

Scribe Animator works on all major browsers and operating systems. For the best export reliability, we recommend using Chrome or Microsoft Edge—exports can be more challenging on Safari and Firefox depending on device and browser settings.

Which devices does it support?

Scribe Animator supports desktop editing plus Mobile Lite on iOS, Android, and mobile web. Mobile Lite concentrates the most useful touch workflows at app.scribeanimator.com/m; see the Mobile Lite guide for current capabilities and desktop differences.

Which currencies and countries do you support right now?

Right now, we support billing in these currencies:

  • AUD (Australia)
  • CAD (Canada)
  • EUR (Eurozone)
  • GBP (United Kingdom)
  • INR (India)
  • NZD (New Zealand)
  • SGD (Singapore)
  • USD (United States)
Why is pricing lower than other whiteboard animation tools?

We keep costs low by doing most rendering in the browser instead of running heavy export servers. Paid plans help us cover ongoing costs like cloud storage (projects/assets), premium templates, and support.

What’s included in paid plans?

Paid plans typically include:

  • Higher export quality (example: 1080p / better bitrate)
  • No watermark
  • More premium templates and assets (new additions may be Pro-only)
  • Cloud storage for projects/assets (SVGs, images, etc.)
  • Extra features like custom backgrounds and other advanced controls
Do you have an annual plan?

Not yet. We’ll introduce annual plans soon—keep an eye on the pricing page.

What are your future plans / roadmap?

We’re actively working on:

  • More premium templates, hands, and tools
  • AI features like text-to-speech (TTS) and smarter workflows
  • Opening up template creation + a plugin ecosystem for third-party creators
Do you have team collaboration?

Not yet. Team features are planned (shared workspaces, roles, and collaboration).

Can I use built-in assets commercially?

It depends on the asset’s license. We aim to show license info clearly wherever possible. If an asset is marked as commercial-use allowed, you can use it in commercial projects. If you’re unsure, use your own assets or choose assets with clear commercial licensing.
